Versailles Collection

In collaboration with BODE, this series of styles pays homage to the Prounis family's arrival and life in New York. Versailles was founded by Nick and Otto Prounis and Arnold Rossfield. The celebrated restaurant was located across from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The house band was led by Desi Arnaz and the club was frequented by New York luminaries including Texas Guinan, Judy Garland, Perry Como, and Dean Martin. In 1949, the Versailles hosted the U.S. debut of French Chanteuse, Edith Piaf.
